Meinl Artisan Edition Cajon, Seguiriya Line, Indian Heartwood
The Meinl Artisan Edition Seguiriya Line String Cajon is a handcrafted instrument built in Spain by master luthier José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz. Its Indian Heartwood playing surface delivers a textured feel with detailed highs and punchy, warm lows, while the 9-ply Baltic Birch resonating body provides solid projection and bass compression. Two independently adjustable sets of eight micro-coiled, hand-wound metal strings offer sensitive response for ghost notes and finger rolls along with snappy snare effects. Rounded corners with thumb notches ensure comfortable playability during extended sessions, and the extra-thick wooden sound port ring with a built-in pop filter makes this cajon equally at home on stage and in the studio. A heat-branded body with decorative wood inlay gives the Seguiriya a refined visual presence that matches its premium sound.
